The Future of AI: How will the world change?

If you haven't noticed, AI has been taking over the world lately. The initial rise of AI started with the introduction of AI models like DALL-E, which can turn a description of a picture into art. Most recently, the introduction of Chat GPT has transformed the daily lives of everyone; it does people's jobs, students' homework, and can even pass some standardized tests such as the SAT. Although Chat GPT-3 was extremely powerful in its own right, Chat GPT-4 took it to the next level by increasing the parameters of the model by 500 times.

Many companies have been trying to implement Chat GPT into their own apps, like Khan Academy, Quizlet, and even Bing. In some aspects, this made Bing a more powerful search tool than Google, which is getting closer to ending the monopoly Google has had on search for the past couple of decades. This made Google scramble and attempt to create a similar competitor (Bard) to Bing's AI search, but it frankly isn't great so far.

Ultimately, this massive adoption of AI will transform many daily tasks and jobs and optimize others. As model efficiency increases we will see the integration of AI into daily life in an irreversible manner. Just like the World Wide Web did in the 90s.
